Books have been my dear friends since I was a little girl.  My brothers were eight and ten years old when I was born.  Growing up with two BIG brothers taught me self preservation skills at an early age.  When we played football .... I was the football.  When we played hide n seek, I hid, they forgot to seek.  When we played Bruno Samartino wrestling I always ended up with the wind knocked out of me or a bloody nose.  I learned ingenuity and imagination just to survive.  On the other hand, none of the kids in my neighborhood ever gave me a hard time, cause my brothers had my back. My mom always said, "thats how they show you they love you"  

Books were my favorite escape.

Then I married my college sweetheart and raised three sons.  What to do with three crazy boys at bedtime?  Books of course!

When one of my boys struggled with bedwetting of course I turned to books.  But when I went to the library to find something positive and uplifting about the common childhood problem there weren't any.  There were books for preschoolers but not for an older child still dealing with wet nights.  So... I wrote one.  I get so much joy from hearing that my book has encouraged a child  to defeat their "Wet Knights" .

Growing up it was just my mom, my brothers and me.  Money was really tight.  We trusted in God to get us through.  We prayed about everything.  And God somehow always provided.  We once won a used volkswagen beetle... ever hear of someone winning a USED car before?  Well it was the answer to our prayers!

 

Prayer seems to be falling by the way side in many homes these days.  So I wrote my Goodnight Prayer book as a quick easy way for families to end their day with the comfort of prayer.   I get so much joy from hearing that a child chooses my little prayer book to end their day.
