Remember my dream of encouraging children and parents to spend time together in prayer by making a picture book, but I needed help to get it into children’s hands?
Well, We did it!
Because of many generous spirits, 250 families were given the gift of Goodnight Prayer children’s picture book to warm to their Christmas.
THE CHALLENGE - Can we beat the number of books given for Easter?
For inspiration read a snippet of the thank you notes received:
“Thank you for your generous donation of 150 Goodnight Prayer books. These wonderful children’s books were distributed through our food pantry and our Santa’s Workshop. Please know of my personal gratitude for sharing with the children in our community. Only 30% of our population is employed… The opportunity you have provided for our children is amazing and beyond helpful. Your beautiful book reflecting night prayer in the hands of the less fortunate children in our community should give you great peace and joy…” Holy Spirit Parish, Sister Annie Bremmer and Father Joseph McCaffrey
“Thank you so much for your generous donation of Goodnight Prayer books to distribute to our client families for Christmas. This gift introduces the value and beauty of daily prayers and allows young moms and dads to adopt a nightly practice using this simple bedtime prayer.” Women’s Choice Network – Where the choice is life
“What a year this has been! 2020 has created unimaginable struggles for everyone, we are profoundly grateful for your kindness… Your donation during this special time of year meant that our boys and girls felt cared for and loved this holiday season.” Mars Home for Youth
Well now it’s Lent and of course, I’ve been praying, how do we introduce even more children to the joy of Goodnight Prayer? And I felt God’s reply - aim for a book in every basket. Don’t you love the idea of a prayer book in every basket? A simple, beautiful reminder that Easter is about God's Love, not just chocolate, jelly beans and bunnies. Here’s how we can help children everywhere together: when you buy 1 book at $10, I will give away 3 books for free to local charities. If you have $10 to order one book to tuck in the Easter basket of your little hunny bunny … then you will multiply your gift by sharing your love of God with three other families in need.

In honor of the 40 days of Lent, if you spend $40 you will receive 15 books! That’s less than $3.00 per book. Then YOU donate the books to your own local charity. You provide the gift of prayer for a parent to tuck in their child’s Easter basket.

Please know you are all in my prayers. If you are unable to help this time around, I understand- no worries. There are so many places to donate and people in need, it can be overwhelming. If you are able to help and believe that planting this seed of prayer in the hearts of our little ones can bring about multitudes of benefits., then take a moment to order your book today.
May God bless you abundantly this Lenten season!
